...

This is some big random bush-field near the coast in Gallway. BJ and I stayed here for several days with a nice woman named Susan Curry, a friend of his aunts. We were weary from travelling, and her home on the coast was a welcome comfort to us. This photo was taken around 8 in the morning, much earlier than I am typically awake. However, on this day BJ and I had woke up early to catch a ride with Susan in to town, till BJ realized he was sick, and didn't want to go. Instead, he went back to bed and I went out for an early morning walk.

BJ kept sick for a couple days; on one of those days I walked down to the beach on a long stroll... This photo is out in Gallway, on the beach, on an uncharacterteristically sunny Irish day.

Ditto.... There were alot of rocks. Obviously.

The cliffs of Morre (I'm not sure if that's how it's spelled) ... this is before BJ arrived, when I was on my two week Rick Steves Ireland tour. This is the most popular tourist attraction in Ireland, and were featured in the motion picture The Princess Bride. (They're really alot bigger than they look)

This is in the some hilly region on the northern half of Ireland. This photo was taken on one of our many tour bus stops/photo ops... I basically spent two weeks riding around in a huge bus, or, coach, as the Irish call them. We drove, we stopped, we took photos... this was one of them.

For one of our day trips, we went to the Aran islands, a little patch of earth habitated by not too many folks. This photo is of some horse carriage drivers resting on a lunch break... (I saw the island by a slow horsedrawen carriage... it was quaint)

Aran Islands. Some kids playing on the beach... At points during the afternoon, at certain spots, you might swear you were in the Mediteranean; the water was so clear, the weather was so warm, it was not very Irish at all... Coincidentally, on this afternoon I missed the ferry that my entire tour group was on, and it created a bit of a stir. There was a mixup... it was unfortunate, nice wheather though.

Old Houses. Aran Islands.

On the southern side of Ireland lays a little town named Kinsale.... It's beautiful. It's outlying areas look like they're out of Lord of The Rings. The town is very small, but near the middle is a tiny bay... the subject of this photo.
This 100 foot waterfall was kind of cool... it provided a bit of adventure... I hopped from rock to rock up to it's base, up there in the background... and also, as I slipped and fell (knee deep in water) coming back from the base. (I fell on that rock on the far right of the picture) It was kind of awkward cause the entire tour group was watching from the designated watch point behind where this photo was taken... they sort of had a wierd attitude when I came crawling up, but it's all good, I wouldn't have gotten this photo from the designated watch point.
